Krong Luong Restaurant

Project Information

Project: Krong Luong Restaurant
Architects: SROMAL architects
Status: Under construction
Category:  Restaurant
Location: Oudong, Kandal Province

Krong Luong Restaurant, located in Oudong, northwest of Phnom Penh, is a shining example of sustainable design brought to life by Sromal Architects. Inspired by a Khmer design ethos, the restaurant masterfully combines the rich heritage of Khmer tradition with the elegance of contemporary design, resulting in a space that is both culturally significant and modern.

The layout is thoughtfully crafted, featuring two distinct sections designed to create expansive views and promote natural air circulation—a hallmark of sustainable design. These sections are connected by a bridge that interacts beautifully with the central tree landmark, drawing inspiration from ancient Khmer houses, which traditionally featured interconnected buildings surrounding lush greenery.

Krong Luong Restaurant represents a perfect harmony between cultural roots and innovative architecture, showcasing the expertise of Sromal Architects in blending traditional and modern elements seamlessly.
