Mr. Ly Sovandarong, a Cambodian architect, is the founder of Sromal Architect, which has been operating for almost ten years in the field of architecture and design with impressive creativity. He studied a bachelor’s degree in architecture and urban planning at the Royal University of Fine Arts, and continued his studies at the Institut Teknologi Bandung in Landscape Design in Indonesia. He continued his Master Degree in Architecture in Limkokwing University.

He and his team have emerged with modern, vibrant buildings that emerge from creative geometric shapes, sustainable design, cultural inspiration, to create the sense of space and architectural forms that provide unique experiences for users.

As a result of this effort, he and his project partners have received many awards, such as: ASIA-Pacific Property Awards (x2), Build Magazine Awards (x1), both are highly recognition awards from United Kingdom, Luxury Lifestyle Awards (x4) from the United State of America, and Property Guru Cambodia Awards (x1).

Besides his works at Sromal Architects, Sovandarong also plays an important role in contributing back to the society and architecture industry as a whole. He is currently a board advisor of the Innex, a first Cambodian platform for architects and related professionals aiming to connect, share designs, tips, and experiences. Not only that, he is currently also a Lecturer in Limkokwing University, teaching Architectural Science.

Mr. Lysovandarong also shares his passion in technology and business development. He is currently a board member of Federation of Cambodian Startups, a federation aimed to empower Cambodian Startups with Innovation, Uniting Startups, Connecting Cambodian Startups to the Global Market.
